Otley Amateur Radio Society (Leeds) is a friendly group of people of all ages and from all walks of life who share a common interest in Amateur Radio communications. Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in Amateur Radio and related technologies.
We are one of only several organisations in the region to have a dedicated Radio Shack for use by our members and it is furnished with a wide range of equipment for use by licensed Amateur Radio operators. We are also one of only a few clubs in the area able to run training courses for all levels of the UK license scheme and for this purpose the club is also registered as an Examination Centre with the Radio Society of Great Britain.
Many of our members are licensed Radio Amateurs and operate their own amateur radio stations. We meet weekly, each Tuesday from 7.30pm – 9.30pm at Clifton Village Hall to get on-air, run open forums, discussions and presentations. Please see the location page for details. We also run training courses, take part in contests and events and maintain our own voice radio repeater station, call sign GB3WF.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like further details about the club or Amateur Radio in general.
